Train Themed Baptism at Saint Nektarios

Giorgos was baptized at Saint Nektarios in Aegina; the theme was the wish and choice of his older brother, Vasilis. Mom Panty wanted white flowers to decorate the outside of the Church. We chose to decorate the entrance with baby’s breath, hydrangea, lisianthus, and pine, which symbolize appreciation, admiration, devotion, celebration, gratitude, longevity, and innocence! The aisle was decorated with lanterns and pots adorned with white cyclamens, which Greek tradition characterizes as a flower that brings happiness and drives away the evil eye! The theme, the train, could not be missing from the decoration. We constructed a large train with his name on it. Everyone wanted to… and took a photo in its window! Giorgos, we wish for you to live a long life, to be lucky and happy. Akis & Panty, may he live a long and blessed life!! Vasilis, your idea was very beautiful!!!
